About Craftsman Decor

Built by hand in Benton, Arkansas

Craftsman Decor is a family shop. Brent and Amy Saunders founded it in 2019, and their son Jack now builds alongside Brent as a lead builder.

Brent grew up on a row crop farm outside Stuttgart, and that's where the building started — on a place where if something broke, you fixed it, and if you needed something, you made it.

“My mother and father instilled in me the value of working with my hands and the importance of being involved in community, and I have been passionate about both throughout my life.”

Those hands now work next to his son's. There's something fitting about heirloom furniture being built by a father and son — the same idea, just applied to a shop instead of a table.

Who does what

Brent and Jack build. Between the two of them, they're the ones who sketch your table, cut it, sand it, finish it, and carry it into your dining room.

Amy does much of the design work on custom pieces and handles the in-home consultations — so if you're not sure whether a 42-inch top will crowd your dining room, she'll come look at the room rather than guess at it over email. She also runs everything behind the scenes that keeps the shop working.

We take a limited number of orders

That's on purpose. Every piece is built one at a time, and we'd rather turn work away than rush something that's supposed to outlast us. It's also why you deal with the same family from the first phone call through the day we set your table in your room — no sales floor, no handoffs, no call center.

You have a say in all of it

Most people start by sending us their dining room dimensions and a photo of something they like. We sketch it, price it to the dollar before anything is cut, and build from there — your size, your wood, your stain. No cookie-cutter anything.

Solid hardwood, no exceptions

No veneer, no engineered wood, no particle board hiding under a finish. Red oak, ash, maple, white oak, walnut, cherry. Every board hand-selected, so every table carries its own grain and its own story.

We deliver it ourselves

No freight company. We load it, we drive it, and we carry it into your dining room and set it up — across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas. Free anywhere in Arkansas.

Come sit at one

We keep tables on the showroom floor in Benton, in different woods and stains and edge profiles. How many depends entirely on the week — sometimes there are ten out there, sometimes there are two because we just delivered eight of them. Either way, wood looks different in person than it does on a screen, and that's the whole reason the showroom exists. Call and we'll set a time.

“The most important thing we do is provide a personalized experience where our customers feel like they're not just buying furniture. They're investing in their family's legacy, just like we are investing in ours.”

Thank you

Thank you for being here. And thank you for letting us help this community and be a part of your home.
